How Bad In The Internet On Norwegian Escape?

We are not long back from a Caribbean cruise on the Norwegian Escape leaving from the Port Of Miami. As always when we travel on these ships I like to test the internet connection to see what is and isn’t viable for somebody like myself who has to be web enabled. Having been very impressed with Royal Caribbean, shocked by how poor P&O were I was eager to see how my first experience on a NCL ship would compare.

How Fast Is The Internet On Ventura?

We’ve just got back from another holiday on the Ventura (August 2016) and there has been a change to the pricing policy for internet access. You are now buying a day or cruise pass giving you access for either 24 hours or the length of your cruise. They have also altered things so that there are 3 packages to choose from. Whilst it’s all very good to play around the edges what really matters is how does the internet connection work, is it any better than the dire offering that was available previously?

I’d heard the sales pitch about how good the internet was on Anthem Of The Seas but how would it fare in reality?

On Ventura and Azura pullman beds are the preferred option for families sharing a cabin. You can get a sofa bed but you’ll need to book a Deluxe Balcony Cabin, only on certain decks.

Why Do Cruises Have Formal Dining?

If you’ve considered booking a cruise in the last 2 years you will have noticed that more and more cruise lines are making a BIG thing of advertising their informal dining options. I know from a personal point of view that when we talk to friends about cruising the one question they all have is “Do you have to sit at the same table with the same people every night?” It’s obviously something that most people don’t want to do, so why do cruises have formal dining?
