Since 1987 the successful blue trio “The Blue Man Group” has been entertaining people across the nation. What started with 3 men in New York is now a team of 500 people who present the show in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Toronto.
The founders of the show are Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton and Chris Wink who invented the concept in 1987. During the first three years they were on the stage in New York on their own without any help or backup.
Today there are 30 Blue Men and more than 50 musicians. The main idea was to create something original…something where the audience can participate and use their imagination. And one thing is certain, they definitely succeeded.
They show is totally different from anything you have seen before: Music, Dance, Theatre, Humour and an array of colours make the Blue Man Group something really special.
The audience is involved during the whole show so be careful if one of the men comes a bit close 
You can’t put the Blue Man Group in any one particular genre as it is so diverse and has so many aspects to it that simply being called a musical or a play is rather insulting.
Playing music on self-made instruments and having a lot of special effects will make it a highlight. Therefore you can be sure there is something in the show for everyone.
The Blue Man Group has been in Berlin since spring 2004 and is still a great success in the German capital. This was the very first production outside the USA and in February 2007 the group moved into their own theatre after more than 1 million people saw the show. In the BlueMax theatre at the Potsdamer Platz there is enough space for that special show. One of the saloons was converted so that 600 visitors can sit there comfortably.

Byron Bay is our family’s favourite holiday destination in Australia. We love the climate, relaxed atmosphere great food and fun markets. Most of all we love Byron Bay accommodation because we stay somewhere different every time and there are such an amazing variety of places to stay in. Understandably, most of the wall was demolished between June and November of 1990 after reunification. The wall represented separation, desperation and the inhumanity of the East German regime and it was for this reason that the wall was crushed and reused for road fill.

With this in mind, people became less and less scared of the authorities and graffiti began appearing on the wall at the start of the eighties. As well as this, the wall they painted on was a wall erected in 1976 by East German Border Troops, known as the ‘Border Wall 75′. This concrete Wall was 3.60 metres high and painted white. Although painting was not allowed, the complete Wall system was on the territory of East Berlin many artists begun to paint on the Western side. Start at Invalidenstrasse, continue eastwards, a little further on is the Sandkrugbrücke, a former border crossing into East Berlin. A stone by the bridge commemorates the death of Günter Litfin, the first person to be shot dead attempting to escape to West Berlin. Turn left down the promenade by the canal continuing to the Invalidenfriedhof. The wall once ran through this graveyard and you will notice that the headstones of many graves are missing, done so as not to impair the sightlines of border guards. Victims of air raids and the Battle of Berlin are buried here and it is also the sight that West Berlin police shot dead an East Berlin guard to save a 15 year old boy who was in the process of escaping in 1962. Between here and Chausseestrasse there are few traces left of the wall, which ran roughly parallel to the canal before veering right. At the end of the street, pavement markings indicating the Wall’s former course. A short section of the wall appears before the railway bridge at the junction with Gartenstrasse and left on to Bernauer Strasse is where many desperate escapes took place.
